Elite Trail and Adventure racing shoe providing high levels of race comfort and grip performance. This trail shoe has a low profile midsole with stick rubber outsole. Radical design upper provides excellent support while the fascia-band aids propulsion efficiency of the running cycle. Ideal for short fast races. Meta Flex - This is an anatomically aligned groove in front of the metatarsal heads to give you a natural fore foot flex. Meta-Shank - New 5 finger meta-shank aligns with each individual metatarsal for greater f lexibility when contouring while retaining underfoot impact protection. A softer compound is used on performance product while a firmer compound is used on the endurance product. Met Cradle - The upper webbing support in this boot is anatomically positioned to cradle the fore foot behind the metatarsal heads and provide a secure foot hold whilst running. Fascia Band - A replication of the plantar fascia ligament to increase propulsion efficiency and reduce fatigue. TPU Lacing Support - lacing attached polymer upper supports and cradles the foot more e evenly. Performance Last - Precise fitting last ensures minimal internal movement when contouring, ascending and descending. Sticky Rubber Compound - this shoe uses Inov8's exclusive sticky rubber compund which has been specially developed using climbing rubber technology. These are perfectly good running shoes. Light, comfortable, and with good treads for trails (not road/sidewalk shoes!)

Size: Another reviewer said buy a half size smaller, and following that was a big mistake. These are not sized any differently than you would expect (though definitely note the Womens or UK size difference!).

These are lightweight shoes-- the soles are fairly soft so you will definitely feel the ground when you run. They do have a rock plate in the front part of the foot to help protect your feet, but I found it to be a little lacking when running on rocky trails. The soft soles and overall flexibility take some getting used to.
