These are great running shorts. The inner liner/boy short has that sticky, silicone material on the edge to keep them in place (no problem with them riding up), and a pocket on the right side that is large enough to hold my cell phone (galaxy nexus). There are also two pockets on the back at the top of the waistband(those hidden ones that are big enough to fit a key in). The shorts sit low on your hip which I like, and are a perfect length. I bought a medium (I am 5'3", 133 lbs, natural waist 27, hip 37), which is comfortable since I like my shorts loose, but a small would have fit well if I wanted something fitted, not baggy. I was debating between sizes as I was a small by hips and medium by waist (according to the Brooks size chart), but the waistband is low so if you are debating on sizes I would probably go with the hip measurement and ignore the waist measurement. In the mediums, if I put my cell phone in the side pocket, the shorts do tend to start to fall down. No problems with chafing, but the longest run I have done so far in them is about 6 miles.
