Seiko Men's SNE245 Solar Dive Japanese Quartz Watch Review

My wife surprised me with this watch for V-Day and I could not be happier.

This is a new model as of 2013. It has black stainless steal with white and orange accents--very easy to read. I am in the military, and so I had to switch the band to a black one to keep it in regs. I really wanted a black watch, and this one looks amazing. She paid almost retail from a jewelry shop, so the price here on Amazon is a bargain.

I am very hard on watches. She usually buys me a new timex expedition every other year as I go through them (all scratched up, water resistance fails, gets hit too hard, etc). Everything about this watch feels solid. The Bezel movement is lined up perfectly where it should as it is clicked around the dial.

I haven't really tested the luminescent feature, but the "12 o-clock" mark on the bezel glows in the dark as well. I imagine it glows for a few hours after being in sunlight.

I am a short skinny guy and this watch is PERFECT for my wrist. With a black band this watch is "quietly professional"--not too much bling, yet looks (and feels) well crafted.

I am not a watch collector so perhaps some features are missing that others find necessary at this price point. All I can say is that the look is exactly what I wanted and the quality of genuine Seiko Dive watches is good enough for me.
