I have been using standard hand grips for years, thought they worked pretty well. Broke a few pairs in my life. I always bought the hand grips with the hardest resistance. I have no problem doing numerous sets of 30 reps with hand grips. So I thought my hands were pretty strong until I received my Sidewinder Pro. Wow, after a few sets of 25 twists, I really feel it in my forearms. Amazingly, I barely have the resistance set to the first ring. In the weight room I use the grip machine with 70 to 80 pounds on it, and still I feel the burn much more using the Sidewinder. Forget the hand grips and get the Sidewinder Pro, costs more, but definitely worth it.
