Stuhrling has proven that it is willing to cut corners with this watch. When you see the initial price tag near the $1000 mark you figure that this should be a high quality, well built watch. Sadly it's not.

The watch looks great. It's a little large for most people but overall it's not bad.

The pin the use to set the time is flimsy and does not screw in. This is surprising considering the two tabs used for the watch functions are solid metal. I don't know why you'd cut corners there but they did.

Now for the worst part. They didn't use crystal for the watch face. They used a kind of cheap plasic compound. If they used crystal this would have been a 4 out of 5 star watch but instead it's getting returned.

Why is crystal so important? The watch face came out of the box cloudy. You can barely see through the fog. I've never seen one come out of the box like that. This has happened to other cheap watches I've owned but not one that claims to be worth $1000. After researching online this is not a fixable issue. You'd pay more for the repair than the watch is worth.
