This bench is sturdy as you could ever need, what is terrible though is the instructions. You literally have to put this together yourself and think it through, as really the only guidance you have is screw size.

Once you get it put together thought it is thoroughly impressive in build and functionality. I am 6'0 230 lbs and I bust out 200lb dumbbell presses, shrugs and even decline weighted sit ups and this thing sits rock solid. I don't care about looks, but functionality and the Bow Flex is always compared in the reviews I read, I suppose they are pretty similar, but no where close in sturdiness.
