The packaging was confusing. It says on the box that a pump is NOT included. The pump was in the box though. It was easy enough to blow-up, but it doesn't hold the air very well. I haven't tried submerging it in water yet to determine if the leak is along a seam or where the plug is located. Either way, I have to re-pump it about every 8 hours of use. You can hear the air leak out every time you sit down.
