I had my contractor build a wooden ramp to my storage building so it would be easier to get the heavier things in and out. When he finished and I waterproofed it, I decided I needed something on it to give me some traction to keep from slipping. I found this mat on Amazon and was thrilled that the 4x4 size is exactly the size of my ramp. I nailed it onto the ramp, and it is exactly what I needed.

UPDATE: 2 years later this mat has totally rotted ... guess it wasn't made to hold up to the Texas heat! Found a better one at my local big box home improvement center that is thicker and more suited to being outside all the time.
