This DVD has a good range of exercises that are simple to follow. However, you haven't done any core strengthening before don't expect to be able to do the whole work out at once. My only major complaint is they move through the exercises a little quickly. I have a bulging torn disc in the low back and I found this DVD helpful in reducing pain. Just be careful to engage the core when doing the spine flexing exercises at the beginning and end of workouts.
