I purchased this product thinking that it would be better than the tennis balls that I currently use, primarily for lower leg and foot issues (old athlete stuff). This was well worth the investment! The kit, which includes an odd shaped roller, two dense balls (smaller than tennis ball size) and a foam brick, is simply much more effective at working out trigger points in lower leg. The roller has also been extremely effective in getting at some difficult points in the foot. The product quality-including the "how to" materials-is excellent, and even after more than a year of use, everything looks (and works) like new. I have not seen anything near this price that provides such complete treatment of lower leg/foot trigger points (although you could buy multiple products and put them together at higher cost). My son is a collegiate soccer player, and he has benefited greatly from this kit (I bought him his own), so it works on performing athletes as well as old guys like myself. I recommend this product to anyone that has recurring cramps, muscle issues, and trigger points in the lower leg. One thing to note is that this is not a quick fix purchase; you can manage and work out the triggerpoints, but you will need to do regular maintenance if the problems are chronic (as they are with me).
