I cant believe I am writing a review about socks, but here goes. Ok, a lot of runners prefer synthetic sock, but that's not me I prefer a cotton sock. So why 5 stars? Well for one these have exceptional stain resistance (they don't turn grey or yellow over time as I have experienced with socks from Nike and new balance). The other reason I like these are they are soft, comfortable and remain that way. Nike socks are really bad at becoming stiff quickly and losing there elasticity. New Balance remain soft but the stain and break down faster. Really the final and most important thing is they last longer than any other running sock with the exception of Thorlo's that cost 3x as much. I have pairs over 3 years old that are in perfect shape with tons of use.

I have not experienced slipping as another reviewer mentioned, but I am not golfing in these. Another reviewer mentioned the picture is of a medium and the actual product is a large. I would pay careful attention to this as sometimes the product information changes. Presently the product has the Med picture but says large size in small print - which would be any easy miss-order. Sometimes a pair of these wind up in my son's drawer - he has a size 7 foot and these are too big for him, but probably ok for a 9. My foot is a 12 for what its worth.
